3. Using the Matariki Hopes and Wishes worksheet, reflect on how the school year has been so far. Looking ahead to the next two schools terms and year, set some goals that you would like to achieve. After you have done that, decorate your whetū (star) to show the characteristics of what your whetū means. Your mentor teacher will display these on the walls of your mentor classroom. While you are doing this, your mentor teacher will go through slides 12-20 to talk about the meaning behind the different stars in Matariki.

4. Finished early? Use the remainder of the time making a card for Matariki (Physical Card to Colour & Content Ideas for the Card) or colouring a Matariki Mindfulness Star to add to your mentor classroom's decorations.
