Junior Science

An important note about my junior science resources. While I was at Selwyn College, junior science was divided into Year 9 and Year 10 courses. However, now that I am at Edgewater, the Year 9 and Year 10s do the same program, which alternates each year.  At the top are links to the units that are done at Edgewater. At the bottom are the links to my old resources that are divided into year groups that follow the traditional content strands, but there are also some good resources on building the key compentency skills.

Need for Speed focuses on teaching the Nature of Science Skills and content for Forces and Motion.

To Infinity and Beyond focuses in teaching the idea that science ideas change over time in the context of our knowledge of space.

What the Matter! focuses on teaching students the basics of atomic structure, ions and neutralization reactions.

All Charged Up was a 3 week course to teach the basics about electrical circuits.

Forensic Invesigation was our final topic of the year, looking a range of different science subjects to determine, who shot Mr Burns.
