Start of the Year
The following are resources that were used at the start of the year to build relationships with students and set routines/expectations.
To the left are the PowerPoints that I used for our introduction lesson.
Students - In case you need a refresher on expectations and routines.
Teachers - In case you need some ideas on how to start the year.
All About Me is a worksheet to help teachers not only get to know their students, but gather important information like pronouns and home learning environment.
The one on the right is my junior science version, but I also have versions because different questions are appropriate for different year levels/subjects.
These resources are in PDF, but hopefully if you download them and reupload them to Canva (teachers get a free Pro Version, which can even do translations), you should be able to edit the document.
In case teachers need more support with how to start the year, I've included lesson recordings for my start of the year lessons, how I instruct my students of my lesson routines, and instructions on how to take good notes.
Please see the General Resources page to access the "Other Routines" mentioned in the PowerPoints.
