Competitive Maths Activities
Numeracy CAA Gimkit (Teacher needs to set up)
There are also many activities on the Maths Week website, something that might fun is the Super Challenge question at the bottom of the page.
Teacher Notes
Gimkit is great because like Kahoot without the teacher admin work behind running the game. Just set the game up on the projector like Kahoot, but when it comes to questions, students answer at their own pace. Lots of different game formats so it stays interesting when they play.
Recommended games...
Class getting divided into two teams - Capture the Flag, Blastball, Tag: Domination, Humans vs Zombies
Everyone for themselves - Knockback, Don't Look Down, Classic, Snowbrawl, Infinity Mode, Dig Up
Everyone vs 1 - Snowy Survival, Trust No One (like Among Us)
Whole class works together - The Floor is Lava, One Way Out
Calming - Farmchain, Fishtopia
Canyon Splatter and Raining Money you can turn into a class competition by writing a leader board on the whiteboard for the best score at each difficult level.
