Lesson 3
Titration Techniques
Learning Intention: Explore how to do titration and accuracy improving techniques.
Success Criteria
2. I can explain techniques that minimize errors that could occurring during titration. (e.g. pipetting accurately).
Learning Tasks
Do Now - Grab a pipette, bulb, beaker, flask, measuring cylinder, and scale and test out your measuring techniques. Remember that volume of solution = mass. (1 mL water = 1 g).
While Ms Garlick is demonstrating titration, write down notes about the technique and how to improve your accuracy.

Teacher Notes
Purposely do this titration with the undiluted teaching solution so that students can see why we need to do the dilution.
The reason why I do the titration demo even though we're starting with part A is because I want them to see the big picture of what they are working towards and why they are doing the task.
