No set homework for this topic, just work on your internal or any lesson resources that will help you develop the skills needed for the internal.
Teacher Notes
Start by giving the students different types of plastics and ask them what they can observe is similar and different about them. Don't mention that they're plastic, but just give them the objects.
Move onto talking about the general structure of plastics. That they are polymers of carbon. Talk about how depending on the polymer, you can get different types of plastics.
Do the experiment with acetone and Styrofoam to show them some of the problem with getting rid of plastic.
