PC Final Project

Instructions: 

The PC Final Project has been assigned through Google Classrom. Please find it under the "Classwork" tab. The following are the recommended order for preparing your final project. 

1. Decide if you want to do this task individually or in pairs. No, you may not work in groups.

2. Pick a topic from the Google Spread Sheet. If you don't find one that interests you, but have another idea, make sure you clear it with me to make sure it fits the guidelines.

3. Start researching the issue to learn more about it. Use the checklist to help guide you with what information you need.

4. Decide how you want to present your report, do you want to... write a letter to a minister, make a Google Site, make a pamphlet, or make a Google Slide and present it to the class?

a. Please note, a template has been provided only for the letter to the minister and you need to use it if you pick to write a letter. A list of MPs and ministers have been provided so you can decide who to write to. Be mindful if you want to write a letter that you need to take a side with your social science issue. You are writing to pursue them. 

b. Google Site, a pamphlet, and Google Slide you are welcomed to present your information from a neutral stand point. 

c. If looking into a local issue, think about where it is currently being debated. Is it going to be apart of a national referrendum that New Zealand will be voting on? It makes more sense to create a Google Site to share it with voting adults instead of writing a letter to a minister, as it is currently out of their voting hands. 

You will have some classtime to work on this task. It is due at the end of the school day (3:20 pm) of week 7, Friday, November 29th. In regards to submission, you need to upload your report to this Google Assignment.
